Witnessed on Fore Street
At just after 4pm on Wednesday as I was waiting to cross Fore Street from Albany Radio to Nat West, a taxi came hurtling from the wrong direction up Fore Street (one way). Despite the shouts of myself and other passers-by, and the oncoming traffic having to avoid it, the driver continued the wrong way up the road to Bollywoods, where the cab stopped and the passenger got out!
Absolutely so**ing priceless!

Are you allowed to give us a clue which firm it was - so I know not to risk booking them [:D]

I would have reported this to police - they should be able to get the reg from CCTV. Driving the wrong way up a one-way street is quite obviously dangerous and/or reckless driving.

I would have reported this to police - they should be able to get the reg from CCTV. Driving the wrong way up a one-waty street is quite obviously dangerous and/or reckless driving.
It should also be of interest to the council that licenses the idiot.

Witnessed in Fore St this afternoon: the Bengeo bus, the 333 travelling from the Shire Hall towards the War memorial is stopped by a fat bloke driving a people carrier coming in the opposite direction, who completely ignores the "Give Way" lines by the Shire Hall. There then follows a Mexican standoff until the idiot realises that the only option is for him to reverse back, and then pull into the lay-by area. Total result: everyone delayed until the tw*t realises that no-one is going anywhere until he moves. Why doesn't Hertfordshire Highways at least put up a "Give Way to oncoming traffic" sign for vehicles travelling from the war memorial towards Shire Hall?

Or what about those signs with a red arrow and blue arrow in the opposite direction to indicate priority?
