Whoops....
As an occasional user of Kings Cross (suburban) station - that’s platforms 9 - 11 , I have - no make that had , an incorrect understanding that most trains stop at Finsbury Park..
If you have the same understanding avoid the 1615 out of platform 11. As it shot through Finsbury I thought well at least it'll stop at Stevenage - may even get back quicker...
As it thundered through Stevenage I thought err.. whoops.
Got back from Cambridge at @ 1850... Nice scenic tour though!

oh dear - you are now a fully fledged commuter!!! Welcome to the heart in mouth group when you wonder where an earth you will end up!!!! I have to say... The adrenalin rush as you try to keep calm amongst other commuters is a usually a BAFTA performance, glad you got back... [:D]

The attempt to get off at Hitchen when we slowed down gave my demeanor a bit of a battering but ... the worst thing DQ…. is that I already hold a VC, KCB & bar for a quarter of a century of commuting, should be running workshops for junior commuters, rather than been caught by sneaky new time table amendments ..
Getting old , time for a new generation to take the strain..
Incidentally, now as I recall, a fair few youngsters with pointy hats on said express …..
