Chez Gerard

Has anyone heard anything about Caffe Uno becoming a Chez Gerard French restaurant? There's a planning application gone in for signage. yep thought everyone new that.......chez gerard is a great venue will win my business hands down. great food great wine woohoo please if this is pulled off. at last a place which is good to eat and well priced. although in recent weeks caffe uno seems to be banged out. now that we're missing McDonalds seems there is fewer and fewer places for folk with kids to take them, unless they like pizza.....

Yes the supply of child friendly eateries has declined recently. The Cowper Arms used to be fantastic for little_p with the indoor play facitilies. The loss of McDonalds isn't really a big loss though.

Jeeeez......is this a wind up? "now that we're missing McDonalds seems there is fewer and fewer places for folk with kids to take them"..........did anyone really ever take their children to dine at McDonalds? And the Cowper Arms was awful, selling quite possibly the most processed food in or around Hertford. Its play area was dirty and noisy and bad luck anyone who ended up with a table even remotely close to it.

Chez Gerrard! Lovely. They have 2 near me in the city, very nice restaurants and good value for money. Will be much better than cafe uno that's for sure.

Bubba - good value for money, are you serious? 2 quid for a glass of orange and well over that for a coffee. And the steak prices, well!
