Subway
Walking home last night past the new Subway sandwich place on Millbridge, some staff outside accosted me and told me that there were free sandwiches that opening night (staff training). So whan I got home I dragged the other half out to come and get a sandwich with me (not that I'm a cheapskate who'll do anything for free food you understand...er :) and I have to say I was fairly impressed by service (not sure how long that will last). It is fairly pokey in there though.
However, do we think it's a good thing another chain coming to Hertford? Will enough people use it suffiently to stop in going under in a few months? I'm not convinced that I would use it much although the missus said she might.

I'm afraid I was too gormless to notice/ask! I looked for opening times this morning on my way past but it just had a notice in the door saying opening 4th Nov, 10am. So I guess the times are 10am-something!
I've just eaten the sandwich I got for lunch and I must say it was nice.

Do they do foot-long subs like they do in Subway in the U.S? You can pretty much fit your 5-a-day in one of those.

I have got to advise everyone to go there and get the foot long subway melt, I used to have one near by when living in London they are amazing as far as a sandwich can be! Not to great on the wasteline though!
