It was, but houses and a light industrial estate have been built on that route since the late 70s.

Saw something about road being cosed for re-surfacing but seemed to be directly in front of the houses. Didn't clock a date.

Phew! What a relief. From the thread title I expected a sighting of four winged horsemen or at least a breakdown of democracy. Thankfully it's just some local and much needed roadworks. I'll stop hoarding soup and candles and come out from under the stairs.
