been reading a book on murders comitted in hertfordshire , no mention of it, but i seem to remember one being comitted when i was a boy, around the 1940 -- 1950 s ?

I qam working on it, there was a man by the name of Cannon who was shot, don't know the details of where or when but I will check! He was related to a friends family.

update on topic, i met someone recently, who said that he remembered a murder being comited in bull plane in the late 40 s early 50 s, but couldent remember details. ? jog any memories.

I can’t recall a barbers on Bull plain. Must have been a traditional old fashioned establishment. Probably didn’t survive as it’s a cut throat business[:D][:D]

Just had new information There was indeen a murder of a man who had a barbers in Bull Plain. it is belived it was also a front for illegal betting and the was something to do with it. He defaulted on a bet. I do have a name for the person who died but won't put it on here in case there are family still around.

hi Marilyn,, that sounds about right,,i do understand regarding privacy etc,,any chance of further contact regarding same,,dont know how,but maybe you do,,its just that this item has stuck in the back of my mind for years now,since i was a younger hi homeless,,i think you have the wrong barber mate,,yours was in market place,next to the wonderfull WILTSHIRE cafe,,incidentally the first evening coffee bar,,unbelievably now =in 57 - 58 i used to park my van right outside the wiltshire front entry door evening times in those days, no traffic wardens then,, o joy
