Hertfords Land Girls
I have just seen that as last the Land Army are going to get a badge of recognishion next year.
My mother was based at the Hostel in Watton at Stone and worked on various farms including panshanger/ bacons farm, Bennington etc.
I know there was another Hostel at Rowney Priory at one stage.
Any other Land Girls still around Hertford?

Do you where the hostel is/was in Watton at Stone, was it The Crowbury near the Church?

It was 1/2 way down the high street on the right hand side going from the chuch end, I think there are a row of detached houses there now.
Somewhere no far from the T junction/ war memorial I think.
Checked with Mum in was by the junction with Mill Lane
