Seeing as Admin chose to lock the previous topic - I could not reply to Sloop's comments. So here goes. Page 5 of the Mercury - I quote "Ware's shops could suffer as Hertford's town centre trade booms, according to a retail guru. Hertford town centre manager John Barber said ..." I rest my case [:)] Retailing in Hertford today is a very different prospect to running an off licence 12 years ago. I take on board that Sloop is familiar with the joys of budgets and stock turn days - but that's not what retailing is all about. Owning a shop in Hertford is not for the foolhardy - you must be either slightly mad or brave to attempt it. So here's to all you business owners out there - it's not easy, but we love it [:)]
