Try the Hertford Marquee. They put on gigs most nights of the week. If you google them there's a website with listings and contact details (I think you need to send a demo to get a gig).

Cheers Lester...funilly played there last Saturday and it was brill (quite a lot because of their great soundman and the fact that it just is a cool place) so have sent them an email. They seem to be fairly booked up though with about 3 bands on a lot of nights.

no that was our keyboard player also called Rick funnily enough. Hope you enjoyed it Ewoowar. I was the guy jumping around with the stripey guitar. Lillie it was a party so we were playing stuff where you could shake your thing, and stuff you can together in 2 rehearsals (it was our first gig) - stuff from Ray Charles / Booker T to the Kaisers / Killers... I'll leave it to Ewoowar to say how we were though I thought the audience were tremendous which is a good sign!

A couple of loose numbers but on the whole pretty good. And bloody loud. My ears were buzzing the next day.

Cheers! The volume is controlled by the soundman at the Marquee (though I liked it like that). Good to have the opininion of someone I don't know Ewoowar. Anyone else who wants some music at their event just let me know!

Have to say the two other bands the Bad Men and the Agenda(i think) were great and got everyone in a great mood before we went on.

Thanks Ridley Good name. You should check out http://www.wasted-rock.co.uk as this is another really good band and Graham your drummer used to play for them I believe as did you I think some time ago. Good to see that now there will be two really good bands out there who can entertain as well as play and that also appeal to all tastes in music. Thanks Lillie. I played with the Wasted guys for a bit when they were Wyld Thyme (the spelling wasn't by me!). No we haven't got a myspace yet - or even got a cd to showcase - we've only been going a few weeks so early days. I most certainly will. Have a look at the wasted myspace site http://www.myspace.com/wastedrock it is a great way of contacting other venues and bands + promoters. Just add them as friends and you can contact them.
