An evening with Daley Thompson and Geoff Capes
Next Friday evening, 18th April, we have our next event to raise money for the Mayor's Charities.
This will take place in the Castle Hall at 7.30 and will be hosted by Stuart Storey and Paul Dickenson from the BBC, who will be acting as
"Parkinson" and chatting to Daley and Geoff about their careers in athletics and their experiences as Olympic athletes. Some of our local talented young athletes who hope to compete in the 2012 Olympics will also be taking part. There will be an opportunity to meet Daley and Geoff and there will be autograph signing.
The tickets are on sale now at Castle Hall priced £14 (£12 concessions).
This promises to be an enjoyable evening and we hope it will be well supported as was our Charity Run last weekend.

Thank you to everyone who supported this event. It was disappointing that we weren't able to fill more seats, but I'm sure those who were there would agree that we had a thoroughly entertaining evening and we were able to raise funds to support our young athletes of the future.

As you know, we would have loved to have been there, but we are without staff on a Friday night now and could not attend. Still doing our bit for you though!
