Slides evening tonight Hertfords last 100 years
Just seen an advert for a slides evening tonight on Hertfords last 100 years with Peter Ruffles and Baden Browne at Sele School, 7.30pm £5 on the door.
Should be interesting they are both very good and have some fascinating rarely seen pictures!

It was very good as always, Peter is doing another one on Tueasday May 6th in Castle Hall in the afternoon, will check the exact time!

I went to Peter's slide show tonight. Can Marilyn or anyone tell me if any of his pictures are on Photobucket or Flickr, or anywhere on the web, please?

No I don't think they are as far as I know, I will ask him tonight though to checek.
If you wanted a specific one he may do you a print ohe is willing to do slide shows for groups and good causes.

Thanks Marilyn. I know Peter is not entirely au fait with the internet but surely some of his many acolytes would be happy to take on the job of uploading his pictures? It would be a tremendous resource for the people of Hertford and of wider interest to historians, town planners etc. Those pictures of the A414 duel carriageway being driven through the heart of a quiet old town were harrowing.

I will ask him tonight but I think he was rellying on a neighbour last night so can't ask too many favours, not sure what is on the DVD he spoke of again will find out next week as I must have one whatever!!

He laughed when I asked him......................computers are not really his thing.
Some have been given to the Mercury though so watch out for them in there sometimes
