I can remember when the War Memorial was used as a roundabout at it always seemed much more sensible, less trouble for buses getting out of Fore Street, easier for those of us going through to get to and from the 414 and Bengeo with the added bonus that the war memorial itself was more respected and less easy to " vandalise". I know you would lose the seating area but I think it would improve the traffic flow if it was put back that way also if and when the old "Mercury" building becomes a hotel, as things stand it can only make matters worse for vehicles in that area.
