official sponsors?
I noticed the Olympic rings in kids' connection window the other day. I didn't realise they were an official Olympic sponsor with the like of coca cola and mastercard! Must have cost them a fortune?!

Did it actually say they were sponsors or were they just displaying the Olympic rings?

It's the same thing... Only official Olympic 'Partners' can display the Olympic rings. I'm sure it won't happen, but in theory they could be sued by the Olympic committee.

Oh dear our Church sunday school made Olympic rings last sunday matbe they could be sued......how silly is that! I would have thought the more promotion the better.

The rules surrounding Olympic sponsorship are many and are also insane. About a year ago, the not for profit regeneration organisation I worked for in London ran a press advert, raising awareness of the 'legacy' issue surrounding the games. As we were not official sponsors of the games, we were not allowed to have the Olympic rings in the ad, or even allowed to say, 'the olympics', or 2012 (in the context of the Olympics), or London 2012. It stretched our creative abilities to the max, considering the advert was about the Olympics...

I don't think anybody really thinks Kids Connection are sponsors of the Olympic Games.
