Famous names
I came across this interesting page on wikipedia showing Hertford's MPs from the last 350 years. There are some familiar names.

I know he was never a local MP, but wasn't Eric Heffer brought up in a house in Cowbridge? Surely there should be a plaque.

Yes he was, I believe it was one of the cottages that were knocked down and replaced between the river and the old pub (The Bell?) and Collins builders yard.

Yes he was, I believe it was one of the cottages that were knocked down and replaced between the river and the old pub (The Bell?) and Collins builders yard.
The house still stands. The cottages were refurbished when the site was redeveloped.
