Old McDonalds building
It's been sitting redundant for a couple of years or so now.
Anyone here think that it might make a reasonable place for an indoor market? [:)]

The outdoor market sells a load of tat as it is. Unless the indoor one was an expansion of the farmers market, which I can't see a daily demand for, I doubt it would work.
There you go, a reply!

I imagine the owners of the property would be looking for a profit from it's use as a market.
Is there a demand for an indoor market? Who would occupy it? Under whose auspices would it be operated? Is it economically viable?
And that's before we even start to talk about health and safety or logistics!
I would humbly suggest this is just a pipe-dream. Sorry James.

What, like the fish stall, bread stall, cheese stall, olive stall, pancakes, eggs, fruit and veg?
There is certainly some "tat" but to characterise the entire market as such is unfair.
We have a thriving and diverse Saturday market and it deserves support.

Barclays are in Railway Street - they bought Woolwich BS, which coincidentally is still empty, too, up the other end...
