I wouldn't be surprised if James got in tbh. It was meant to be invite only, but I managed to get in by mentioning the company I work for. It's not much bigger than Bar 11 was (obviously) but they've taken the DJ booth out from the back, creating a bit more space and the whole place feels a lot more 'exclusive' in terms of the decor. Price wise, it's a little bit more expensive than Bar 11 was: £3 odd for a bottle of Peroni and the music seemed to be very chilled, but with an edgy feel to it. In terms of 'Celebs' I had Jodie Marsh's arse in front of my face for most of the night. Didn't see anyone else, but then again, I'm not exactly a follower of 'celebs', but there may well have been others. I get the impression it'll be packed up until Christmas, but whether or not it is as busy after remains to be seen.

We just walked in last night. Very swish, but not very Hertford. The carpet on the way in will get ruined. I had a Peroni (not the cheapest, yet worst tasting beer invented) and my partner had a 250 ml glass of wine - £3.00 ish. It was very showbiz. Didn't see Jodie Marsh there like previous poster stated and we left after one drink. Maybe another day.

Their website is a complete load of pretentious bollocks, saturated in marketing-speak for the style and brand conscious fashion victim. I really don't understand why these sort of places open. It's Hertford, not London. When I'm back from uni at Christmas I might give it a try (assuming it's not over 21s?).

It was open on Sunday. I wouldn't expect it to be open on a cold Tuesday night and 7pm is a bit early for this type of venue, even on a Saturday. You may be right, but let's not write it off yet. When I ran a nightclub we only opened two nights a week, unless there was a promoted event, and never before nine. Anything else was just not economical. Fingers crossed.

Not surprised it isn't that busy with their prices. Had a drink in there other night and looked at their price's. £115 for a bottle of Smirnoff or Jack Daniels seems a little exspensive for Hertford. The Hertford House and Deco don't charge these prices and they are much nicer inside with a better crowd. I know The Sugar Hut is quite successful in London but with these prices I think Hertford might be step to far. Also they tried to advertise the venue on the premise that it was a restaurant and bar but I have never seen anyone eatingin there or talking about the food. Has anyone ever eaten there ?
