Hi Frenchie I'm fairly sure there is a random net attached to the outside of the astro turf fence at Simon Balle - no court or net on the other side though

Great thanks, so is it over the astroturf - ie does it have a hard area underneath it ? - sorry for all the questions ! - My boy has a friend visiting with a basketball and they want to play a game together somewhere.

Hi I only ever go there in the dark - but, I think it is on the outside of the fencing facing the swimming pool so it is mostly grass (though may be a small square of tarmac under the actual net)

Used to be one in the playing fields behind The Wick, near Bengeo Primary school. I don't know if it's still there. The tarmac area around it was about 15 metres square, I suppose, but the grass around it gets very muddy up there (football pitches).

Just remembered - there's also one in the play park area at the Tamworth Road entrance to The Meads (between the railway and the allotments), that's completely tarmacked. There's a tarmac pitch with nets at each end of it in the playground of Pinewood School off Hoe Lane. The gates are often unlocked due to minor league football matches being played on the grass pitch just beyond it, but I've no idea if anyone would mind if a couple of lads were to go and play on it, all I can say is that no-one seemed to mind when my lad and his footie team used to muck about with a ball there before and after matches.
