Sol Campbell - actor
I remember reading recently that Hertford's infamous footballing resident Sol Campbell is to be given a minor role in an upcoming film (or was it a TV programme?). One of the football websites reckons that to give him some experience, Hertford Dramatic and Operatic Society is to give him part in a forthcoming production. Can anyone verify this?
I wasn't sure if he was still living in Hertford but my other half bumped into him in the Co-op in Sele Farm a couple of weeks ago. For those that are interested, he was buying lemons.

A spokesperson from HDOS recently made a remark to the local press about him being welcome to join the society. However, he hasn't been offered a part in any forthcoming production.

Surely after his comedic performance on Saturday (I'm thinking of their goal), maybe something along the lines of the Keystone cops could be put on by HDOS.

I think he played a bouncer in the film 'Snatch'.
This was written and directed by Guy Ritchie, another famous local :)
