Corn Exchange Gag Club
I usually go to the Ware Gag Club - didn't realise that Hertford had one - is it any good?

replying to myself! Just found out that this is new, from the people who run the Ware Gag Club.That's a great night out so will be trying the Hertford one as Saturdays suit me better.

it can vary, there is usually a good MC then 3 or 4 comics, ranging from poor (only happened twice) to absolutely hilarious (most times) and stages in between depending on your own preference in humour.
I've been a dozen times and always had a good night, reasonable ticket price at £10, fair bar prices, excellent atmosphere - a good Friday night out on your doorstep.

how popular is this? I'd like to go, but there's nothing worse than a near-empty comedy club (well, there are obviously a lot of things that are worse!). I just want to ensure there's a good atmosphere before going

the one in Ware is usually packed so a great atmosphere - I believe the Hertford venue is new so I suppose it will depend on local interest. I for one (or mmore if I can phone a friend) will be going, I like live comedy nights and get fed up of travelling into London for them.

I went Friday, place was packed with over 100 people at least. As Northern Lass says some excellent and some ok. Plenty of beer breaks and a good atmosphere. I made the mistake of sitting at the front...

Ware is first Friday of every month, Hertford will be third Saturday I believe
