Do you mean the Hertford Tea Rooms on St. Andrew Street? Went there for afternoon tea last Saturday - very nice homemade cakes and scones - but pricey. The 'middle of the road' background music was very annoying though - like being stuck in a lift [:p]

Thats the one. I heard they did hot meals at lunchtime, was wondering what the hot food was like.

I went here with the family the other week. The good lady had a cream tea, which was generous with 2 scones. I had quiche of the day, which wasn't the best. It was very overcooked and had been coocked as an individual portion, so where it had been originally sliced it was all hard & crispy. I didn't complain then, so I can't really complain now (although I just have!). I would go back, but would just avoid the quiche, as other peoples' food looked nice.
