Next Farmers Market
Next Farmers Market is this Saturday Jan 22 in Market Place. Few more stalls than last time - about 25 -30 from 9.00am till 2.00pm. New and brighter stalls complete with tables have been hired specially with a view to purchase. Should make a good photo opportunity as hoping to get a town crier in.

Still small but a good start..I can really recommend the beef from Foxholes Farm, we won't buy any other (espec from tescos) as theirs has always been top notch.

One thing I would say, Peach270, is that I moved out of London over ten years ago. There is a greater sense of community here in Hertford. But don't wait for it come and knock on your door.............make the effort. the fact that you're here on this forum suggests that you will.

Excellent timing Peach270. The next Farmers Market is April 23. We - that is District Council, producers, organiser, and myself - working towards making these a monthly event. A little way to go as haven't made up our minds on the type of stall but feedback from town centre traders and even Saturday market traders is that the farmers bring in a lot of extra footfall that actually does translate into hard cash. I've had a lot of enquiries from producers that I've had to pass on to the co-ordinator as this is the way we work but it shows that there is a lot of interest from both producers and public and Hertford is an ideal market place.
