Who wants a by-pass?
There were serious proposals for a Hertford by-pass a few years back, but these were ditched on environmental grounds and due to the government's moratorium on roadbuilding.
Is it time to revisit this idea?

Absolutely - and lets take it through Stevenage! Should tie in nicely with the Government's other plans!

Can't see it will ever happen now. I think the only logical route, from the Amwell Roundabout past Hertford Heath and Hertinfordbury to link up with the Cole Green bypass, was far too environmentally sensitive. Or maybe over-populated with Councillors.... Shoudl have thought it's more likely to be developed for housing now!
