Orange lights in the sky last night
Did anyone see those orange lights in the sky over bengeo area last night? There were groups of about 3-5 coming over and travelling over towards Hertford heath way then just disapearing....I saw at least 15-20 of them, they were silent. It was about 2130-2200hrs. I made sure that someone else witnessed it (incase people thought I was going mad!)
Did not look like air craft, but didnt know where to put this post.

Sometimes those helium filled balloons loved by kids when let up in the sky attract the moonlight and look rather like you describe.. then again, if it was aliens, I note they were vacating Bengeo... maybe they know something I don't !!!!!

I dont do twitter.....what do you think they were? I was quite spooked by them! They were very high....air craft high....not balloon or street lamp high!

The Mercury will have the answer for us on Friday make sure you purchase your copy because it's not available on line for another 3 weeks is that correct? the question is to the Mercury team who are reading this right now and they are scrutinising us on here just like Richard Burton describes in War Of The Worlds. Yes I seen 1 of them land near West Street and a little pink man appeared from the Orange spaceship.

Saw a load while camping on Mangrove Road last Saturday night, definitely Chinese Lanterns. They look awesome but I bet they make owners of thatched cottages nervous [}:)]

At 5.25 am recently I say what I first thought was an aircraft banking so the wing tip lights were above each other as it drew closer it remained in that configeration which had it been a plane would have meant it would have turned!
Instead it remained on course with a brighter light above a dimmer one and carried on above my house at the speed of a helicopter but to my suprise no sound, it was silent my only thought was it a hot air baloon but I saw no flame and did not believe they flew when it was still dark the sience was the mystery to me and seemed odd then an aircraft flw over toward Stanstead but I could still see those lights heading east into the dawn![8D]

Although the Moon festival is on saturday,celebrations & activities start a few days before.
