Crayfish festival
Another wonderful day on Folly Island. Thanks to Simon and Sally at the Old Barge for providing the rods, buckets, nets and bait. So good to see so many families enjoying the Bank Holiday. Sun shone, staff at Old Barge worked their socks off and a very pleasant atmosphere all afternoon. Who said community was dead? Personally I enjoyed the afternoon; met a lot of old friends, chatted with a lot of people I hadn't known before and look forward to next year.

A wonderful afternoon, I am now looking forward to cooking and eating the bucketfull of crayfish currently sat "purging" by the back door. Thanks to all at The Barge for a great afternoon - a perfect end to a bank holiday weekend.
