I see that we have a new sandwich bar opening in Fore Street at the old Yates menswear shop. Wasn't there a sandwich bar there once before?

They're a small chain. They currently have two branches in Saffron Walden and Aberdeen, where they appear to hail from. Soon to open in Bishop's Stortford as well. http://www.dejavu.uk.com/

I hope they have the same type of things as Doorsteps - choose what you like. There has not been anywhere decent to get a sandwich in Hertford since that closed!

lovely place and a breathe of fresh air to the make it yourself sandwich market in Hertford. got what i wanted and fast service too.....reasonably priced £2.80 for a sandwich, I'll be a regular. Another plus for me is you're able to see the food being made, no running the order into a back room or making it behind a counter cluttered with stuff. Good luck to them.

This is a good thing to know about. DQ and her chums will be in the Castle Hall doing some rehearsals for Anything Goes and with no food outlet in there, this is a hop away for us to get some sustenance! Hurrah [:D]
