I noticed quite a number of windows smashed in the town on Saturday, along with the glass that covered the notice board at the front of St Andrews Church. I spoke to the lady clearing the broken glass up at the church and said I hope the CCTV cameras had caught a shot of the idiot responsible. But I wasn't optimistic. However it seems the police had been alerted in the early hours of the morning by the CCTV crew and a man has been arrested. Let's hope it was the same person responsible for most of the other broken shop windows over recent years so maybe there will be an end to it.
