Closest authenitc Italian restaurant
Hi
What with the lack of an independent authetic Italian restaurant in Hertford can anyone recommend somewhere? I'd prefer a cosy authentic place rather than somewhere 'modern' with the feel of a school canteen.

has to be macronato's in Hoddesdon - I have friends in san francisco who still state this place is better than anything in litle italy over there.
Ran by italians, or sicilians (?) so it's very good.
it is a big noisy place though, so possibly more of a place for a celebratory event, rather than anything romantic!

Get on the train and go to Cecconi's in Burlington Gardens, very authentic and romantic.
