There was a similar concern when they announced the last set of store closures which I believe was last year.

I popped into Millets the other day and they thought that they were staying open. They also thought that the Blacks WGC would stay open, but the the Millets in Stortford would shut.

Sure I read somewhere a while back that Farrow & Farrow would not be renewing their lease when it finished. After the bookshop closed was there not talk of the Deli, what is now the cook shop & Farrow & Farrow being made into one larger shop with flats above?

I was sad to hear that Botsfords is considering closure. I was in there yesterday and asked the proprietor if the rumours were true about him closing. He said his current lease expires next April, but if business doesn't improve he may well close after Christmas. That will be very sad, it's a wonderful shop. He laid a lot of the blame on EHDC's parking policy and the closure of the multi-story car park.

That's a shame, I hope not I like it in Botsfords, they are very helpful - especially when you are not really sure what it is you need - you describe the issue and they can usually suggest something!!

They closed last Saturday 19th. Equipment was being moved out this morning. They were due to close next Saturday 25th, but it seems the information posted on their A-board was yet again not reliable.

Shame Farrow & Farrow has gone. I use to like that store although since the other brother moved on I think the motivation to keep it going wained. I remember my wife saying they were closing down when she worked part time at Starfish and that was a while back. Personally, I felt the town needed a shop like that.
