Freesat
Has anyone here got Freesat and used someone local to install the dish ? Any recommendations ? or views ?

I have had Freesat for over 6 months. I’ve got a Humax HDR recorder which can receive & record all the Freesat TV & radio channels including the HD channels. This unit gives Sky+ functions without the monthly fee[8D]. The choice of HD programmes is a bit limited at the moment. The BBC do broadcast every day on their HD channel but ITV only a few shows a week but it’s still worth having as I’m sure the HD output will increase.
Overall I’m please with the service. It provides high quality pictures & sound. If you do buy one it’s worth the extra cost of something with HD capability. It’s the future.
Sorry I can’t advise on a dish installer as I fitted my own.

newgirl - I deleted your email by mistake, i have put off getting freesat until the Newyear now but will let you know how i get on 2010.
