Elberts For Sale
While driving back from Grasshoppers nursery this afternoon, I noticed a For Sale sign on the side of Elberts. It says it's for sale due to relocation. Anyone know where they're moving to and when?

scrap that question - I just checked their web site and it says moving to Fore Street in 2010.

I thought Elberts was linked with The Hertford House, not the Master's House?

Elbert's and The Hertford House are both owned by Nick Shipton.
The Master's House is a completely different operation.

I cant see wy he would want to close Elberts and consolidate in HH when both have a large queue on Friday & Saturday nights

The owners gained planning permission to turn the building into flats some time ago. I think with Deco taking a lot of their trade they have decided to move elberts to the basement of the Hertford House Hotel. Elberts was quite big and held about 600 while the basement at the hotel is quite small about 100 with a very small bar. I think it will have a boutique feel about it small and intimate. The other thing is I thought the Hotel was over 21's and elberts is definately a lot younger and usually filled with Haileybury sixth formers.
Elberts will have it's last night on New Years eve so I expect they are working on the Hotel basement already.

Boutique nightclub to go along with Boutique bar with bouncers !...time the word Boutique and Hotel was dropped from Hertford House Bar and Nightclub me thinks
