Strolling by on my way home, I could see that the vehicles were definitely arranged for effect, the barriers were not what one would have expected at a crash site and the sheer number of our fine public servants suggested this was a promotional event. The subject car's location was rather implausible too. However when looking at the poor lady who was playing the crash test dummy role, I was seriously worried that she would have a cardiac arrest from hypothermia given she was in a t-shirt and it was pretty damn cold.
She was shivering so much that for a moment I thought she was genuinely in post traumatic shock, nice touch with the neck brace and spinal injury boards. Warm blankets (and a cup of warm, sweet, weak tea - if not in a bad way) may have been an idea folks....
Hope the event made its point and that the young lady has recovered from her unexpected ordeal.
