The Tilbury, Datchworth
Had Christmas supper there on December 18th. Drafty dining area too close to the front door.Seating arrangement cramped. Food uninspiring. Turkey pre-formed and tough. Sprouts undercooked.
One waitress very patronising and so on and so forth. All in all for
£29/head we were paying for the celebrity chef and a unsatisfying Christmas supper.

Shame you had such a bad experience. We have had Sunday lunch here a number of times and also eaten in the evenings during the week. Never any complaints as both service and the food has always been very good. Perhaps it is the Xmas menu which can often be unsatisfying - too much done in bulk. That said, we went to Tewinbury just before Xmas and had a great meal for a similar price you paid. Bit late for Christmas now, but give them a try sometime.
