Hertford East on Newswipe
I was surprised to see a clip of Hertford East on Charlie Brooker's Newswipe this evening. It was only brief and was taken from a BBC News article about the terror threat level. I've no idea how this was linked to Hertford East mind!

It's quite recent footage though. The Herts Storage sign on the old Dolphin car park fence has only been up a few months.

My problem is a fluctuating signal for the BBC4 multiplex. V frustrating (and probably off topic).

The BBC is rather more popular than Mr Murdoch's papers would have you believe. There will be a reason for that. [;)]
I reckon Hertford makes a good choice for BBC producers who want scenes of a typical SE English town. It's the first of it's type you come to, heading North from the studios. I looks familiar to a lot of viewers but is only identified by people who live here.
