Barge Closed
Does anyone know why the Barge is closed? There's a sign that says it's being cleaned, but pubs don't usually close over a period of days to be cleaned! [:)]
Good to see they're in the 2010 Good Beer Guide.

Shut for two or three days to complete the final bits of redecorating and refurb that couldn't be done while the pub was open - they had an invite only re-opening night this evening. Business as usual tomorrow I do believe.
PS the new house Shiraz and Stilton - hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ...... heaven ......

I normally dont venture down that part of the town, too close to the Stonehouse! but yeah, Barge being refurbished eh? I look forwarding to seeign the results some time :D
