Guernsey Dairy Hertford
My brother-in-law has just found an old milk bottle in his garden with
"Guernsey Dairy Hertford" on it.
We think this may have been the one in Castle Street "Ibbots" (sp)unless anyone else can help with identifying another dairy in hertford that it could have been?

I have just cleaned it up and I can see that what it actually says is......
"Water Hall Farm and Guernsey Dairy Hertford"

Yes the dairy was at 13 Castle Street. Their 1936 advert states 'all milk produced, bottled and sealed at the farm'

Now we need to see if Water Hall Farm was them.......

Sorry I did not make it clearer. The dairy at 13 Castle Street was Water Hall Farm and Guernsey Dairy and in the 50th's the prop was Mr Hitchman.

Brilliant even better that saves me a lot of time.
Dad was right he remembered the Castle Street Dairy being Guernsey Milk just remebered a different owner.
Am told by Dad the Water Hall Dairy Farm was the one that is now mostly residential next to Riverside Gdn Centre now called bayford Bury Park Farm so he could be wrong there? or it could have all been part of Water Hall farm which is now the gravel extraction etc further along the Lower Hatfield Road.
