A blog series about Hertford's past
Hi everyone, I'm starting a new blog series about Hertford's past beginning with the ancient history and finishing up to present day. This will be quite a long project and I aim to be blogging every 3-5 days. Also the series is fully interactive, so if you want to add something about the history you remember or have learnt, then feel free. If you're interested in blogging about the history of Hertford then log on to the best of Hertford click blog and on the right is box saying 'become a blog author click here' then I'll add you as a blog author and you can blog away! Even if this doesn't float your boat, then check back and read the series anyway!

Is this really the place to discuss such matters? I think not. I've started this topic to discuss the blog series I've started - nothing else thankyou. If you want to know more then contact me like everyone else. I'm not using this free to use public forum to openly discuss prices, this is a good site that doesn't need things like that going on.

Forgive me James 007, but you mentioned prices, not me, I mentioned my blog series only. I was born in Hertford, grew up in Hertford, I went to St Josephs and Sele, and moved to Ware only 3 years ago as you get more for your money. I openly admit where I live on my introductory blog on my site, and my Ware phone number is on there as well, so it's no big secret. Thanks. Why the hostility?

No hostility at all. I just noticed that your website is being posted for personal gain, which makes it an advert to me. Apologies if I am wrong or that you feel offended as it looks quite a good site [:)]

Thankyou James you're right it is great site. If you're unfamiliar with keeping a website, then a site works best when fresh content is regularly added. The best way in doing this is by blogging. I had an idea about blogging about the history of Hertford, as it interests me and no doubt others (for instance did you know the Thames once flowed through Hertford? Well I didn't until writing this blog!). When you spend time researching and writing something it is a nice feeling for people to read it, therefore that's my reason for my post on this forum. No other reason at all. I get the gist that users of this site have a connection to Hertford, and might take an interest in reading about its history, that's all, if I'm wrong then I apologise. Please don't take my posts as a cheap way of advertising, that's not what I'm about at all. I just want to be a informative member of this online community.
