Public Meeting: Traffic and Parking
There's a public Meeting at the District Council's Wallfields HQ on Thursday to discuss Traffic and Parking policies for the next 20 years.
This presents a perfect opportunity for businesses and residents to let the council know our views on their parking strategy.

That's in the whole of East Herts of course, over a 20 year period, so that's 425 a year.

I've heard that the council were going to move a load of employees to Hertford but realised there might be a problem because of parking. So I believe they have started looking at taking a WHOLE FLOOR of Gascoyne Way and allocating it to Council employees only. During the Gascoyne Way refurb, I believe shoppers are expected to park in the police station as overflow, so why have the council dismissed this as an option? Other initiatives are possible such as: use the old police station and lay on a shuttle bus back and forth. Or have priority parking spaces near the building entrance for 'green' drivers who car pool.
Do they ever bloomin' think about the fact that this town needs to survive and isn't just here for their personal agenda?
This hearsay. Can anyone corroborate it?
