Personality Openings?
With Alworths scheduled to open its doors later this month, I wondered whether they are the sort of organisation that uses celebs to cut the ribbon? Chris Evans opened a similar Woolies rebirth in Dorchester, I believe.
If they do, any suggestions?
Not giving my age away (but I guess this does!) I remember Noel Edmonds launching the brand-new, technologically advanced Ford Cortina MK ? in the Garage along Gascoyne Way. Date ?

I remember David Diddy Hamilton opening Super Shops in Bircherley Green and Simon and Goldie from Blue Peter at Hertford Carnival one year [:D]

Any suggestions who they could use? There is a footballer that lives in Cuffley I believe, and of course a certain racing driver but I think he now lives abroad.................There is alway Chas and/or Dave they are local.

I was on "Dead Art" on the Sky Arts channel, does that make me a very very minor celeb. I was also shown dancing during a filmed Nile Rodgers interview [:I]

The Dorchester store is not part of the Alworths chain.
This was opened as an indepentant store by an ex employee.
I seem to recall that Chris Evans did open the store but I think he was a friend of the owner rather than a paid celeb.
