Planning application - Grehan's yard
There is a planning application for Grehan's Yard in Molewood Road.

Some residents are not happy about the scale of the development, the 3 storey houses and the loss of light where the 2 storey houses come right up to the boundary.
They guess the effect on traffic and parking won't be good either.
Closing date for objections is 28th October.

The proposed development looks very similar in design to that built a few years ago off Port Hill, leading to Hartham car-park, where the old army buildings used to be.
In respect of cars, the plan looks to me like garages and parking space are provided for.
IMHO, assuming that flooding by the Beane won't be an issue, the proposal appears ok and more attractive to the existing neighbours than overlooking a builders yard.

They do look very similar to the homes on Port Hill/Hartham. Surely that area will flood though.
