Hertford today.
Went into town this afternoon.
The town centre was buzzing. Shops were busy, the market was busy........the queue for the pancake stall was nearly as long as the queue for Claydons.
Waitrose was busy, the queue for the post office was out of the door, the florists were busy, the pubs were busy...........I even had to queue to buy cat litter in the pet shop!
Very good to see.

That's how it should be. Only not too sure on the queues at the Post Office - almost time to tax the car. That's lunchtime gone - No time for the pub.[V]
What Pancake stall? I must have been walking around with my eye's closed! Calories here I come......[:)]

thanks i missed shrove tuesday this year and now i cant stop craving pancakes... stall only there saturday?? anywhere else do them ?? i cant get into town on saturday's.........need to be pampered with pancakes!!!

Might i suggest heading to the kitchen and making some? or is that too old fashioned. :-)

[:p]Found the stall quite late on Saturday afternoon, I was his last customer as the batter had finished (most of the market had packed up anyway) There were a couple of very disappointed people who he couldn't serve but they have vowed to come back next week.
We can all cook pancakes at home in the good old fashion method but then we can all cook food aswell - so why does anyone eat out or get takeaway's. It's because we emjoy it.
His pankcake was fantastic - there are sweet and savory. I think this is going to become a Saturday pilgrimage for me. [;)][^][:)]
I shall make my own on occasions such as the end of a Barbeque, a novel idea i'd not thought of until I started chatting to him.

[8D]making them at home is fine but to me pancakes are a rare treat [:D]and if i'm going to treat myself i may as well go the whole hog and get someone else to make them [8D][8D]
