It depends what your definition of 'traditional' is... but we purchased an old pine one from Beckwiths a few years ago.
Last year we got one for our son from IKEA.
There must be moral in there somewhere :-(

Fishpools have a pretty fair selection of 'Captain's table' style desks. My mother in law bought one there a few years back. You might also try Rob Stock in HOddesdon - he deals in house clearance and antique stuff.

We had a chest of drawers made to fit an odd sized space by The Woodstore. We were very pleased too.
