Parking at the Bengeo Co Op
Does anyone know if there are any plans to extend the parking at the Co Op on Bengeo street? or any moves to stop cars parking on the pavements either side of it. I was considering looking at a couple of houses up there until I realised what a nightmare all the cars caused.

I'm sure there were plans to extend the car park - I remember reading something in the mercury about it. This was certainly a couple of years ago, though, so I guess it's been dropped now. I can't understand why there isn't some arrangment by which customers could use the car park of the working men's club, seems stupid to have cars parked dangerously all over the road while the whole time a car park stands empty right next door.
Traffic nightmares on Bengeo Street extend way beyond just the co-op - being a main route into Hertford from the north, it is often gridlocked back up past the school in the morning.

And when it's clear it's a racetrack. We looked at two houses on Bengeo St., and though they were very nice, the road was too noisy for us.

It is not helped by the fact that the Bengeo Co-Op is open longer than the Sele Farm Co-Op I have had to drive to Bengeo on a couple of occasions because the Sele Farm Co-Op is closed.
I would much rather walk to my local co-op despite the repots in the Mercury of it being dangerous.

I do not blame people for using the Bengeo Co-Op or for parking along the same side of the road as it. But when people start park adjacent to each other its madness. why do people not use some common sense?

The Sele co-op dangerous Jez?? I use it occasionally...what's the problem?

Last weeks Mercury there was an article about an attack around the co-op. There is also alot of gangs that hang out around the co-op, sometimes causing it to close early.
