From the HSBC website regarding opening times: Hertford Index Branches Hertford 08457 404 404 Hertford : Branches Hertford 36 Fore Street Hertford Hertfordshire SG14 1BS Tel: 08457 404 404 Fax: 01992 903 010 Opening hours are Mon - Fri unless specified Open: 0900 (Tue 0930) - 1700 (Sat.): 1000 - 1500 Telephone number, I have no idea about whether they go through or not. Unlikely I would have thought, they have call centres specifically so you don't.

The answer is yes and no! They are opens on Saturdays but there is no counter service. It seems you can pay money in via the machines and staff are on hand to discuss financial matters. Therefore, they are open but not offering a full service. You don’t speak to a branch. I seem to get connected to a call centre in ether Scotland or India!
