Hetheringtons
Someone this morning came into our front garden and banged a Hetheringtons estate agents board into the flower bed. After some harsh words with the company the board has now been removed, however I think it's one hell of a cheek to just walk into someone's garden and put up a sign without permission and with the property not being on the market. Is this a normal tactic or are estate agents just sinking to lower underhand tricks?

If it had been my front garden I think I know where the board would have ended up........and it wouldn't have been in my front garden!

There are a lot that have gone up round me re Bengeo School I wonder if it was one of those in the wrong place?

They seem to be advertising for a playground redevelopment?
I seem to remember the OFT getting involved in this type of thing a few years back (ie when estate agents sponsor school events etc) and ruling that it was misleading advertising, or words to that effect, because at first glance it appears that the agent has loads of propoerties for sale or to let in an area.

Yes it was one of those - on North Road!
Even if it was a mistake, it would have been polite to knock the door or ring the bell. I was in at the time and heard some banging outside, but only got to the window as someone sped off in a white van, then I saw the sign.

I noticed 5 of these in the Avenue in Bengeo last night as I drove home. Something about a Playground.. ??? What playground I thought, they're chopping up the Wick playing fields to make houses!!!! I was quite distracted.. They are not selling anything and don't know what they are "promoting", they aren't "sponsoring" anything that I have been made aware of ... maybe they feel they haven't enough presence in a tough market? Either way, chop em up and make em into firewood oh and reverse the phone call charges to their offices first !!!
