Old Shop Signs
The uncovering of this old signage was attracting quite a few comments and photographs this morning. I believe it's from when the shop first opened as a second-hand record shop back in the seventies.

I was around the area yesterday and I have to report that the post box has been run over and looked very dead to me. From the picture above I think I can identify a likely suspect!!

Only it was knocked down the other way. And it would take more than a van to do that. Apparently it was a lorry, early on Wednesday morning.

Don't let evidence get in the way of a good story!!
I wasn't suggesting it was knocked down immediately following the picture above however you are right it would have taken a decent hit from the van above to move the post box.

I like how they have taped up with post box - like anyone would actually put their post in there now?

I think Farnams (spelling?) over the road is uncovered at the moment. Recent incarnation was the Woodstore.
ps I believe Peter Ruffles was a paperboy there.

Does that mean they're finally going to change the pictures in the front of that bookies? Alan Shearer playing for Blackburn, Andre Agassi with his mullet - must be around twenty years old itself.
