BEER FESTIVALS
See OXT thread under "Reviews". There is a beer festival THIS WEEKEND (29th April)at The White Horse Castle Street. There will be 50 beers, a hog roast 1 night, a beef roast 1 night and on Sunday a Thai Curry Frenzy. Live music and the usual banter.

Wait, does that mean there's a beer festival at both pubs? Or are they doing a joint one at the WH?

Not too sure whether this should be on the 'local characters' thread but an expert on beer festivals currently inbibes at the OXT but is known to live in deepest Barnet. Regulars will know who I mean and no wish to embarrass said expert.

White Horse Beer Festival - Great as usual. Great Beer, Food, Atmosphere. Despite the fact we can no longer use the Castle Grounds peoplee still enjoyed 'The Garden Bar' (only used on occasions such as this). Give it a try [:D][xx(][^]

Went last night - the beer whose exact name I forget but was something to do with Cornwall and a goat was fantastic.
