Footpath to Hertford Heath?
Morning, thinking of taking a leisurely stroll up to Hertford Heath today but can't seem to find any directions using footpaths between Hertford and Hertford Heath. Google Maps only shows the route using main roads which we don't really want to use! Can anyone help please?

This is our supposed walk to school! On the Rush Green roundabout there is a large house behind gates, to the side of this is a long and very narrow in places pathway that takes you through the farmers fields and a few gates, (which is where the pushchair won't fit for my toddler!)
You then go through another long pathway, wide enough only for one person in places but please mind the nettles as they stung my 6yr old on his arms they are so high in places.
It is a lovely walk (really sold it haven't i) but too long for my children to do each day, a few times a day! And can only be safely done in a group i'd imagine as quite isolated.
It would be even nicer if something was done about the nettles.
When we did this walk as a family on Summer Sunday's we always ended up relaxing on the green having a lovely drink from The Goat!

Thanks for these guys, having not looked at an ordnance survey map since my school days am I right in saying that footpaths are shown as red dash lines on the OS map?

The newer larger scale OS Maps (The Orange Ones) have Green dashed lines not red.
