Balfour Crescent One-way System
Does anyone know why there's a one-way system at Balfour Crescent shopping parade at Sele Farm ?
Nothing appears to be happenening bewteen the barriers and I bet the residents of Holly Croft are getting really pissed off with all the traffic past their doors .

I don't know the reason behind it but bet Admin will move this post from Crafts and Trades to 'Traffic and Parking'.

It started off with a burst water main by the look of it because there was a constant water leak there before the road was closed.Also the road and kerbing had dropped by quite a bit. There has been quite a lot of drilling and testing over the last 5 to 6 weeks,but other than that,I don't know any precise details. Oh I presume you mean Fleming Cresent,and the part of the road that is closed off is Tudor Way.

It was due to some subsidence I believe in the flats caused by the water and there is apparently a small risk they may fall down hence the road closure. I'm not sure how they know that they will fall towards the road but that must be the reason the Griffin is still open as if they went the other way there may be a problem with some brick dust in the AK - not that many would notice[:o)]

Its been closed off since the 13th August and is a nightmare!! I havent seen anyone there for a week or so now.

I think there is a risk of the Road Collapsing, rather than the flats although it is a right pain, and nobody seems to actually be doing any work to fix the problem.

Finally Tudor Way has re-opened,road fully repaired and open this afternoon.[:)]
