Flypast over Bengeo 14 Jan 2012
My friend who flew the B17 in the film Memphis Belle is considering doing a flypast of Bengeo today. I am sure certain Hertford residents would hate this noise and inconvenience to your schedule as I have seenhow much anti-aircraft sentiment reigns here in Hertford. But he will fly over, so salute him if you can and if you respect our history.

He's only flying a Jodel over Bengeo, not a B17, but maybe in the next hour or so...

Hi Sally B! Just thought I would mention, that after a very pleasant day at Duxford on Sunday, we were fortunate to meet (if very briefly)..your namesake.. and was able to take a photo of her (Elly), with my Grandkiddies as she was there chatting to the engineers working on the B17 in the hanger! Only heard them but did see the large Aircraft with the 2 small ones beside it that they came right over our house, sorry no idea which is which but the large one had a long point on it! Had just seen them on TV before they came over.
Early birthday gift for my Mum on Tuesday she loved it!

I saw what I think was a Hercules turbo prop escorted by two smaller planes about 1.20 pm over Hertford but I only saw them after they had passed.

It is because on the way home they route between the Luton and Stanstead air traffic zones.

Good photo - at least you didn't have the dulcet Welsh tones of Huw Edwards talking over the sound of the Lancaster's engines as he did when they flew over Buck House. Bring back Dimbleby........
