Food was very poor and everything deep fried, fish finger sandwich the fish was very grey and rubbery. They certainly did not like it when it was returned. We also ordered tea for 2 got 2 cups of tea. We asked if they did pots of tea, yes but we did not ask, Everything we asked for was a chore, sad really because nice place. I would not return

I had tea and cakes with two of my friends on Saturday, most people in there were eating the scones or cakes. Very nice cakes indeed and the tea we asked for in pots as we wanted more than one cup. We also re-ordered a pot too. I did not eat other food, so cannot and will not pass comment on that, but I had no issue with the service and our table, as booked, reserved and free on arrival.. I would go back there.

Excellent! I just want to say, everyone is too quick to post negative feedback about experiences and never give credit where credits due. I went to Rigsbys on Sunday twice! First for an amazing Full English Breakfast, then went back with my mum and family - 6 of us in total. I booked a table as advised by one of the staff due to it getting really busy for the Sunday Lunch and true as they were it was completely full inside come 1 o'clock. The Breakfasts are amazing & the Sunday lunches even more so. I have realised that the portions are really big and "small" is unknown to them, and to be honest that's excellent! The food was amazingly tasty and the way the kitchen is there for everyone to see as they walk in made me feel like they are so confident in what they serve they are happy for all the customers to see! All the servers were very welcoming and nothing was a trouble! The desserts we had were delicious, especially the Eaton mess! Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I can honestly say I have nothing bad to say about the place.. Which is unusual for me! I've recommended it to all my colleagues at work, and will definitely be back in the very near future!

Its not letting me quote for some reason? I am a realist, more than happy to give a good or bad review depending on my experiences! Darcy, I have never been to Caffe Yum so I can't pass judgement! Buzz, You've lost me.. Is that supposed to be a joke of some kind? Maybe my sense of humor is not up to scratch this evening?!

I think regular posters or 'old hands' should cut a little slack. Just because a new poster is positive about a local business it doesn't necessarily mean that they are financially motivated. Some comments against new members postings smack of making the forum sound like an old boys club.

I visited here today for the 2nd time, it was lovely nice food, nice service, priced well and I loved piano in corner. With all the restaurants & coffee shops in Hertford I thought it was nice to have another place that's individual and not a chain * in response to the last post I also am not affiliated with this restaurant and do not know the owners *

Went in there this afternoon with Mum for her birthday, had English breakfast which was really good. The service was efficient and polite, the food was freshly cooked and of a good quality. I would happily reccommend them to anyone.

I have been reading a lot of the posts over the past few days. The whole point of these types of Forums I think is that sometimes we are all looking at seeing if somewhere is worth visiting. As in Trip Advisor you cannot please everyone all of the time. I can only write about my own personal positive visit and I will go again shortly as I feel since the end of the Great British Bake Off on TV I need a cake slice or two in my life!! I don't see the need to make negative comments just because you can.. but only if you feel just cause. To all those who hope to visit Rigsbys soon hope your visit is good too.. (and no I don't know owners/staff etc).. [:)]
